Silverfish Custom Harmonica Microphones and Harmonicas

Some info on my range of harp mics - which I sell on

For some pictures - you can look at my profile album!

The Silverfish Harmonica Microphone range are precision built custom harp mics. The mics have have at their heart a ceramic element that provides a rich sound texture with plenty of potential for distortion to produce a classic “blues” sound. This element uses the same old technology as the original crystal microphones from the 50′s but with the benefit of durability. It’s a fairly clean sound with a reasonable amount of headroom, so there is plenty of potential for playing with the sound – which sounds great straight into a valve or solid state amp. The microphones are high impedance so no audio transformer is needed.

The mics size and shape provides a durable design which is smaller than a Marine Band and fits neatly in your hand and pocket. Most importantly it is a perfect size for getting a really good seal for amplified harp playing and this is much easier than with a larger classic mic.

The mic are very light in your hand and is easy to hold with a harmonica while performing. The volume control is also perfectly placed underneath for access while playing providing excellent control to boost your output or control feedback.

The mic connects to a guitar amplifier or other high impedance (passive) input with a standard guitar amp cable and 1/4″ barrel jack plug.

The stylish hardwood or coloured acrylic front cover have a classic custom design with a stainless grill. It looks brilliant in mineral oil sealed hard wood (a nice flame to the wood grain) or why not add some colour to your amplified harp playing and chose a colour like yellow blue or black! There is even a Hot Pink option! Actually the coloured options look pretty cool - why not check out the range of harp mics and custom harmonicas at:

The website also has an on-line shop if you fancy giving one a try!

Cheers and best wishes - Rick :)
