Are you sure you really need it? Harmonica sunds pretty loud itself. It alsomuch useful to practice your toneacoustically. Any emulator will have no speaker and will not sound as good as an amp and it's nothing to practice with headphone amp except developing your ego (((: I also have to mention that mid-ranged amped harmonica tone into headphones can cause the hearing problems if you start to practice it often.

I don`t necessarily want it for practice as much as for when I just want to mess around and want to hear it on distortion orlate at night when I don`twant to keep the neighbor in the next apartment awake, lol. Not to use all the time or for the loudness or ego.
Once I get an amp with a headphone jack I won`t have to worry about it.

So it's your wish, but I don't think it really not usable part of gear. For such experiments I'd recommend you some computer plugin like AmpFarm, Amplitube, Guitar rig, I also heard of some free plugins. If you have good audio-interface with ASIO support you can play online with the modeled tone, if you have weak integrated audio you can record your riff and add an effect.

Ok, I feel stupid now.Just a few minutes ago I tell Abner about using a computer program to act as an amplifier with all the sound effects you could possibly want. I didn`t think of that when I was asking about the headphone aimplifier, lol.

I hope, you'll forgot about this idea, but if not, you can try amplug by VOX, a lot of guitar players like them. But I still recommend you a computer. I've posted here some experiments with VST plugins over harmonica tone, but nobody comments me (I don't know why). Here's the link http://www.harmonicaspace.com/viewtopic.php?topic=321

I know headphone amps, the kind you can put in your pocket and only hear through headphones attached to it,are low quality compared to a nice normal amp but does anyone have any recommendations for afairly okheadphone amp for using late at night or out and about?
