They are made by an Italian company called BluexLab. It's a copy of the old switchcraft volume control. At 1 meg it's only going to be good for ceramic or crystal elements. For CM/CR elements it would only act as an on/off switch though.

Just remember there's a company in the U.S. called BlowsMeAway Productions that makes more volume controls for harp players than all others combined. Their VC's are available in 100K AND 1M versions, are smaller, lighter and less expensive and yet of very high quality - and the guy provides support for his users. Please support those vendors that support you!

I can attest to the quality build and preformance of and quality service by "BlowsMeAwayProductions" I have owned 2 inline volume controls since 2008.

When I sold a mic to a pro in France he wanted me to add a volume control. I sold him my first inline instead, then ordered another for myself!

I have one italian and one blowsmeaway control.

The blowsmeaway control is outstanding high quality handicraft and well worth the price.
