I bought one several years ago when they 1st came out... Its kind of cool, but I don't use it much... although I had it out a couple of months ago, trying out my different mics with it.
The lil' bastard seems to feed back alot depending on the mic.
I liked the Shaker Madcat and my AirMojoFied Shaker Retro Rocket (photo of it in my photo album here) best.
I need to fool around with it some more... never enuff time.
I've had a smoky for a couple of years now..Great little guy to practice with..I run a jt30 with a Shure CR element in it with a volume control through it...You REALLY need the volume control, as it does feed back and you have to turn down in a hurry....Tho it does have a great dirty overdrive sound if you trick it right...One time during a gig I had the sound guy just mic that little bad boy....Whoa.....Nasty down and gritty....
Mr Mojo, quite a setup you have in the photos. Must do a bit of performing. What do you have on that pedal board? NExt time my wife tells me I have too many harps I am going to show her your suitcase! I was a mainframe guy for a long time in Operations, but left it in 1980. Getting old!
DanM... No, I don't perform, its been my favorite hobby since 1978, so I've managed to accumulate a lot of harps over the years and some gear. I use to play out years ago before I got married since I knew alot of local musicians and bands (wasn't as good of a player back then though).
I like alternate tuned harps, so I have alot of natural minors, some harmonic minors, some melody makers, some paddy richters, some low keyed Seydel harps, a few extras here and there... they add up!
I like having them in one place too.
If I do go out to sit-in or play to someone's house, I just use one of my smaller cases, like the soft-sided zipper cases that hold 7 or 14 harps, or my Fender harp case.
The pedal board has a Boss DM-2 analog delay, a Boss OC-2 Octave, a Holmes Harp Commander I, and a Samson wireless AP1 receiver.
My wife never knows what to get me for Christmas or Birthdays, but I can always find something harp-related.
I look forward to retiring someday, and just getting together with some local musicans to do some jammin' and hangin' out.
Hi, I have smokey amp. But I don`t play it now.
