So, I bend the full bend, and it has a squealing sound. This a bad thing? Not all Harps do it, just one or two (A Harps). Or is this a nail polish fixer?

nail polish fixer...
Some models are more prone to this than others. I can make some Lee oskars squeal without even bending the note, just by shaping my mouth a certain way. it feels like the mouth resonance fights the reed wanting to vibrate, and it squeals. nail polish or even a little bit of tape can prevent it, but it's also worth checking what's going on in your mouth to control it - both to produce it deliberately - to find how it happens - and then to avoid it.
I find it happens when I use all of my throat. If I bend a little with my jaw it doesn't. But some Harps don't. Where should I put the nail polish? Where the reed is ATTACHED?
You would put nail polish on the rivet pad. But, it's something you probably should address with technique. Loosen up, in case Winslow is right about this mouth resonance thing and watch how far you are bending. I have the impression that you are trying to bend it past the point it can physically go.
Well I tried bending more, and it does it with most bends. Only two of mine do this. I might try some nail polish.
Yes, Nail Polsi will fix it. Why is this happening to just a few of your harmonicas and not others? If it is a Hohner Harmoncia it may be because you have some New and some Old stock Harmonicas. New stock 2006, 07, 08 tend to do this. Nail polsh, tape or wax will fix it.

Hey rad! One is a Hohner from around '07 modded a little by Genesis, and the other is Hering from recently. Thanks Brad!
(Damn Zack, I hope you realize how AWESOME it is to have not one
or two or three but FOUR of the most knowlegable harp people on the planet answer your question.)
Brian that is why I like this site so much!
