I've been building "Frankenharps" using Bluesmaster combs and covers with modified Big River reedplates. But I am out of covers. I can't justify buying more as a have doubles and triples of everything, mostly Harpmaster, but since I don't like the sound of ET (and I don't like retuning) Here's my question.

Does anyone have any Bluesmaster covers they want to get rid of?? I need about 6 more.

Contact me at jawbonejr (at) hotmail.com I have lots of skeletons of sp 20's and Harpmaster's

Boris Plotnikov Replied:

Stock harmonicas are usually tuned very dissonant at chords. Don't be lazy to retune them. It's not too hard. Full harp retuning to compromise tuning, that I like and used toplay take about 10 to 20 minutes.
