Victoria Secrets

Back to the Gear Room

Jan 06, 2010 2:43 PM GMT

I came to a new agreement with my wife.

I get her a gift certificate to Victoria Secrets and I spend the same amount on harps stuff.

im going out to the mall and start off with a $100 gift certificate. So im going to need some ideas on what harp gear I should get.

Lets see this year I have her

valentines day

our wedding anniversary

oh, yes today is January 6th the Feast of the Three Kings.

Mothers day

Secretaries day ( i have to find out what day this is)

im drawing a blank, what other days can I pay tribute to my wonderful wife.

remember this is a win, win situation here.

If you buy a Victoria amp, you've hit the trifecta.

Abner, at least you made sure you didn't get in here doghouse by spending more on harps than your lady!!!

If she gets too many Victoria's Secrets bedwear items, you may not have any time for all that new harmonica gear!

You're working on several hundred dollars in gear, so I'm betting you want a new custom boutique harp amp. I can't advise you, because I only seem to be drawn to beat up old vintage amps. Still. an amp with built-in feedback resistance is very tempting.

Hahaha classic. Good thinking. I was in a similar boat just last night. I had a gift card for Amazon and I was debating whether to get my girlfriend a Valentine's Day gift or to get myself a couple new harps. I still haven't decided. Anyhow, if you're droppin a hundred clams on yourself for harp stuff, you might try a custom harp or one of those higher end harps; like a Siedel or something...

thank you, her birthday is the day after we see jason at the Back room. I have not decided on what to buy for myself. im still battling the benefits department over my pay. Things look good, I don't do well when a big corporation lies to me.

I was able to get my last pay, now we just have to see on pay check at a time. If one department wont pay me another will have to.

Eric I don't get the Sunday monday tuesday Wednesday thursday friday Saturday part, unless we make these holidays.

Joe K, All I need is for them to start making harp equipments. Then we all win

BBQ, It took 30 years to get it right and many fleas.

OrthodoxBlues, I have my very own Kalamazoo from Greg something my wife surprised me with.

I played the other day with my jam trax's and a buddy of mine, and I recorded the session. Im in a bad slump.

abner ( BluEyes, you think with a bad slump I would play better )

Where did you score jam tracks? Do you use Adam Gussow's or some you've had recorded yourself or some you found some other place online??? I ask because I want to expand my reasources for practicing at home. It would be nice to have more stuff to play along to. Sorry about your slump, man! Best of luck shaking out of it in this new year and making more great music!

Dude I lucked out. My wife bought me a Kalamazoo from Greg so that's puppy is done. She bought it for me on our last wedding anniversary. I have not yet given her the gift card, her birthday is on the 23rd a day after we See Jason play.. Jason, Connie loves you...

I was interested in buying other harps and maybe a 2nd mic from Greg, but i was thinking I might want to get music form a bunch of guys that are not main street players. Guys and gals that are good, but radio stations wont pick them up. For some resone this has been on my mind for the last week. Im not sure how I got the bug but its there.

You're so happy that your wife gift you such expensive gear. The most expensive gift I recieved from my friends about 5 years ago. It was used Ibanez digital delay which costs about $100.
