Astor Piazzolla - Libertangohttp://www.youtube.com/user/southrachel#p/u/53/KMZnCPrIuWgcheck out the other stuff there. i found this libertango version while searching for a random harmonica youtube video i found... but found this lady's version to be a lot better recorded. she has some amazing stuff there.i also like this one:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zoFu8mDRQwIi really like the ballad type stuff... like the harmonica sound you might hear in movies.of course, i like some of the greats like Toots, Hendrik Meurkens, larry adler, but these are about all the good harmonica players i know (eventhough a lot of their stuff are not really ballads) anyone here interested in the same thing as me? who would you recommend? (maybe show some youtube vids?) i dont really know too many good harmonicats who play ballad type music. but then again, i'm new to harmonica too hehe anyway, any help will be greatly appreciated.

THEY DONT HAVE TO BE NECESSARILY JAZZ BALLADS....
hope to hear from you all soon
found a cool blues ballad:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DytYcBVzZNManyone know what song this is? or know of any blues ballads like this?
Libertango is great tune, Astro Piazolla is pure genius. I have to go and remember how to play Libertango. Harmonica player is so sweet chromatic player, very musical playing and good improvising, not that way I'll do my solo for these tune.
Alfie is cool to, but playalong is not enough good for my taste. I hate playing with playalongs for myself, as you have to play in the mood of playalong, while real accompanist always interacts with your solo and play with your mood.
another version of libertango
It was not my stile but so what. I did find "Cry me a River" on that same site and that was beautiful.
I have always stated that my love for music comes from hearing all the sounds as individuals. If that makes any sense. I don't care what kind or what sytle as long as I can hear that wonderful sound.
Thanks for leading me to this site.
as for music to hear and play with that something you will have to search and find. Its not easy. But its your taste that counts not ours. I think you already have a good head start in searching for what you want. If you want to play along you may want to find songs with out the harmonica playing in it.
