boy Deak Harp, teen phenom-turned recording artist Brandon Bailey, Hill Country Bluesman Bill “Howl-N-Madd” Perry and introducing Delta Guitar-man Shine Turner.
This event is to be hosted on the Foxfire Ranch in Waterford, Mississippi.
"Last year’s event was transcendental, in some cases life changing. We had people crying tears of joy…literally…from being immersed in, and surround by so many blues harp lovers & legends" says Jeff Silverman of harmonica411, co-sponsor of the event.“I think most came away having learned something important about not only their playing, but about what the blues really means to them. This year’s team of faculty/performer’s promises to go even deeper”
"BUT, let’s not forget the entertainment value either”. Silverman adds, "I mean, c’mon…Sugar Blue and Jason Ricci at the same event…teaching and performing? Charlie Sayles on stage…how wonderfully rare is that? Who has more mojo than Charlie?Satan and Adam - together again - the weekend of Sterling “Mr. Satan” Magee’s birthday? Not to mention the swinging Sonny Boy Terry and his band and the incomparable Jimi Lee. PLUS for those who haven’t heard Deak Harp honk on that blues whistle or have had the pleasure of watching Brandon Bailey on stage…well, they are in for a real treat!
If you are a blue harp player or even a blues lover in general, dollar for dollar, player-for-player,this is THE place to be this summer.”
