As you all know I run a web development and online marketing company. I have worked with clients of all shapes and sizes, but there is one in particular that has now burned me twice (badly).
I am choosing not to release the person/company name here at the moment... but I believe it is important that you all know about what has been going on. I am allowing this person/company 24 hours to correct the mess they have created before I post the full story... This is not the first time this company has done this to me and to several other people.
Although I do not want to bring negativity to our board, this person has brought severe harm to my company and I feel that the bad deeds of this person/company should come to light if not resolved. I have done everything in my power to help those I care about, including this person and company... but I will not be walked all over and have my business threatened by this company and an obviously unstable individual.
I'm sure you are all now curious... and I vow to keep my mouth shut if this person within our very own Harmonica Community will make right what he has done. I will not take the abuse nor the attempts to cause harm to my company.
I believe this person is very intelligent and may have a lot of success, but unless he learns to stop using people he will fail miserably. I will elaborate on who this is... should he not make this right. This is my second time being screwed over by this person and I refuse to let it happen again... to me or anyone else.
This has now caused me to spend hours and hours out of my day trying to correct the mess he has made... now I'm trying to complete other projects that were neglected today because of having to file paperwork disputing his claims... So, now --- thanks to this person, not only has he tried to harm my credibility, but he has caused me undue stress and lack of sleep. Not to mention, I have to run a booth tomorrow for the AIDS Walk, which I sponsored because I actually care about others (unlike this person), on no sleep and with all of this looming over my head.
If he doesn't make it right... I only have one word for him... "KARMA."

BTW - I should mention that I did not expect to go through this again with this company. I sincerely thought the first situation was just a misunderstanding... but now I'm starting to see the true colors, and it's really sad to me.

Hang in there Brady and perhaps bring a ton of coffee to your booth tomorrow... and yes, there is such a thing as karma... so get some sleep....

Well, it has been a stressful situation; however, it appears we may be working toward some type of mutual agreement. It appears that now, due to red tape with my payment processing company, it may take a little while to correct this mess...

I'm feeling your pain, brother. Don't know EXACTLY what happened, but I can tell you that I've recently had my own crap to deal with pertaining to being screwed over. It's NEVER pretty and consumes way too much extra time dealing with it. I hope everything works out for you and will be looking forward to an update in the near futture.
And.............You're absolutly right about the KARMA thing. The funny thing is...........when the sh_t comes down on the perpatrator, they ALWAYS wonder why the crap is happening to them.
FWIW that banner is really cool.
This company has made it right and we are now moving forward amicably. The economy has me super stressed these days and this situation was just my final blowing point. Anyway, all is better now --- and it's all water under the bridge (as they say)...

Thanks Blogward! I love my logo. Sometimes I worry because I love it so much that I wonder if it's just my own taste blinding my vision... so it's always nice to hear that others like it too. There was a huge debate in my office over the orange (which I loved)... and I won... so I'm glad it turned out good ;-)

Brady You have an office? Damn that is professional. I thought most web design companys, well, all they really have is a logo. I'm not making fun of you. I've been running a software design company which consists ofonly me and a desk at home for years now. The idea of hiring staff and an office scares the bejezes out of me. Unless the office was set up as a recording studio as well. Harp/sax woodshed. I hope all goes well with the client.
RE: colours - I spent 12 years at a place where different PowerPoint presentations happened twice daily (once video projectors came in) - it was always orange/grey schemes that looked best by far. Don't know exactly why, maybe hard contrasts make white backrounds look dirty. And now I just noticed that the frame round this box is orange...
and the t-shirts rock as well!!!
