yes, focus on the friendly faces and if the children are dancing, you are doing your job!

did just that, walter.
i went wireless so i was able to get out amongst the people. took 2 of the kids that were dancing and got them onto a bench that was by the band.
during the last song i got 3 women to sing back up!
folks seemed to like us. i think we werent the usual type of act they got there. we even had people inquire about us playing some other gigs.
AND GOT FRUIT HANDED TO US AS OPPOSED TO THROWN!

great to hear it worked out! i used to play with a triditional blues duo that did this all the time, it led to some bigger things, like a couple of radio appearances

my band, spoonful, is playing at a farmers market tonight in milford, michigan.
has anyone else played a farmers market? any advice?
