There we sat in this dive in Boca, The Back Room. We were there to see Jason Ricci and New Blood, accompanied by Nick Moss, whom we'd never seen before. They start tuning their instruments. Slowly we got swept into the tuning, and half an hour later, Jason says "And we're just tuning up.". It was that amazing. These guys got as swept up as we did. Suddenly the jamming began and off they went, and they took us with them. What a ride. I've already written how awesome Jason and New Blood are. We'd never seen Nick Moss before, but this guy can play the blues guitar. His playing complemented Sean Starsky's beautifully and Jason accompanied to perfection. Buckweed's bass kept the rhythm and Cageman (I hope I got that right), the drummer, kept the beat going. We'll be back to see Nick when he comes down from Chicago. And we'll be in the crowd on Tuesday at Boston's for Jason and New Blood.
