hi cloud... just click your mouse and drag over the pic to select the area you want... then click the submit button/crop button below that. You have to click (hold down the mouse button) and drag.
Cloud 1 Replied:
Hello Brady, thanks for your help. However, I still am unable to drag the pic.I gave up.
Mondo Replied:
I'm having the same problem. I've uploaded a couple of pics and tried making one of them my avatar using both IE and FF. No joy.
Cloud 1 Replied:
dp, Are you using Vista? I had to get a friend to do mine on his computer using Windows XP. I still cant do it on my computer using Vista.
Brady Mills Replied:
Hey Cloud,
Thanks for responding to this. As you know, I'm not sure what's happening. Perhaps it is a Vista issue. Anyone else have something other than Vista with this problem? I will try my very best to make this work for everyone...
Thanks,
Brady
Brady Mills Replied:
BTW - if you receive any kind of error message, please post it here, as this may help me get closer to resolving the issue.
Mondo Replied:
Cloud 1, I'm not using Vista. My OS is XP (SP3). IE add-ons are Shockwave, SiteAdvisor, Videoraptor, Tunebyte, Java, JQIEStartDetectorIMPL (part of Java), and Discuss. Of these I'm only unfamiliar with Discuss, but assume it's for the chat room here. (correct, Brady?)
Cloud 1 Replied:
dp,
If its XP, it shouldnt be a problem. Those add-ons shouldnt be a problem, but Brady might be more knowledgable in those. Sorry, dp, wasnt able to provide any help.
Cloud 1 Replied:
Hey, dp, when I clicked on your name or profile, it says "You have accessed this page in error".
Brady Mills Replied:
Hey Cloud,
I noticed this error when dp posted his response. It is because he doesn't have a picture... so I need to rewrite a bit of code to make this not happen. I'll take care of this as soon as possible.
Thanks,
B
Brady Mills Replied:
Hey DP,
I'm not sure what Discuss is. The chatroom here is Flash based, so you'd need only the plugins you'd need for viewing Flash. I'll check into this on XP... I have XP on one of my laptops, but don't have a power cord for the darn thing at the moment. Once I get some juice for the computer, I'll let you know.
Thanks,
B

I can't work cropping pics either. really have tried for some time now (stupid me) - gave itup justnow! -Btw i'm using XP.
And since i erased all my pics that i had collected onto this site i am suddenlya 'not active user'? I'm puzzled. I just erasedmy pics, nothing else...
Brady Mills Replied:
Seydel,
I have reactivated your profile. This DOES revolve around the pictures in the profile and I WILL correct the issue. Because the query I'm running pulls your profile information as it is linked to your photos, if one piece doesn't work --- nothing works. I am going to look at this in more detail. Please hang in there as I correct the issue. It will be corrected ASAP.
Brady Mills Replied:
The issue here on the board has been corrected. We will work to resolve issues with deleting all photos and accidental deactivation of profiles. The only way we know about these types of errors is by having them happen... This site is very, very large --- hundreds of files (all hand coded) --- and I appreciate your patience when these issues arise... Again, I will try to resolve issues related to XP and photo cropping.
What browser are you using on XP?
Mondo Replied:
Sorry, Brady, but it's still not working for me. I have two machines, one w/ XP SP3 and another w/ Win7 RC. Both have IE8 and FF 3.5 loaded.
Brady Mills Replied:
Hi DP,
I am looking for a different cropping utility. I will keep you posted.
Thanks,
Brady
Brady Mills Replied:
As a temporary fix, I've added an autocrop option. Instead of trying to crop, just scroll down to the bottom and use the "Submit without cropping" button. This will auto crop your pic. Although it gives you less control over what shows up, it does a pretty good job as a temporary solution.
Thanks,
Brady
