Alternate Tuning "Kniri 221"

I have been experimenting with alternative tunings for diatonic harmonicas.
I was looking for an easier way to play the Blues with the common three chords (C, F and G7 in the key of C). After playing around for some time I found continuous scales for diatonic instruments. This means that the notes do always have the same steps. This allows to play 5 different major or minor scales and 16 different triads, which are related/similar to the circle of 4th. The nice thing about this is if you blow or draw in any three holes right next to each other then it will always result in a chord (triad in root position), major or minor depending where you are.

Need an explanation on Gary Primich song "Vermit"
Hi guys,
Long time since my last posting but that doesn't mean that I wasn't practising and working hard on mastering some new techniques and songs:)
Tonight after work I decided to make a break with the "Smokin' joint"....and just to be sure I'talking about song here:).... cause 19 rounds is way too long to play after a long working day..... so I started learning a new song...it's Gary Primich song called "Vermit".
What confuses me is that after two normal rounds of 12 bars there is an 8 bars following with 7 bars of progression which I'm not familiar with...it's not that I can't play it cause I can, I just do not understand if this is something common in blues songs which I need to be familiar about, or this is something that band just made up on the spot and that kind of progression is not regular one.
I'm not sure I managed to explain what troubles me but I do hope someone will try to help:)
I am pretty much bad with music theory but I think I will be able to understand even if you explain it in technical terms... if I don't there is always my friend google to give me a hand:)

Hey yall how do you fix windsavers in Chromatic harps? I have a few where the paper-ish stuff is lifted way off the reedplate and those notes sound like shredding paper or playing underwater or something like that. What would you do? Thanks.

What event made you go from a Wanna be Harmonica player to a harmonica player????Steven Tyler playin Milk Cow Blues At the Binghamton Arena in December 1979, was mine..Perry had just split the band, and Tyler went tough on the harp and call and response with Crespa....A stage light shined off his harmonica and hit me in the eye;sittin high on the side..I knew then that I was gunna learn that Old Standby that old one legged Jaybird left at my Dads beer Tavern....I really couldn't Play shit until the Fall of 86 when I bought a book in downtown Norfolk VA..I became obsessed and hit open mics and blues jams everywhere..Talked with Nat Riddles a few times...He told me the best way to practice is to record yourself and listen back.....The harp opens many musical doors..You can make it your main axe, or bridge off from it to anything.. joe

I love the challenge of this position..Unpredictible, and full of bad notes to navigate around...Anybody else use this...?? joe
My New Year's resolution
I figure if I put it out there this year I'll have a reason to follow through! So here's mine:
This year I'm going to actually put inpractice on my harp! I'm going to startwith Harmonica For Dummies and read a chapter a week followed by at least 20 minutes of trying to do what it tells me to do!

declining durability
I have been playin harp for 25 yeARS,,WORE OUT MAY OF THEM...I used to count on about 10 hard playing sessons out of a marine band type of diatonic;;not to mention many practice sessions before a reed went flat....The cover plates used to be very discolored before one went.....Now, no matter what brand I buy, thEY don't last AT ALL....HOHNER, HERING, OSCAR..dOESNT MATTER, THEY ALL STINK AS far as durability is concerned. Todays harps are made to play easy, and the brass is bad.....ANY MODELS OUT THERE THAT OFFER A MORE DURABLE REED??...KAZZOO
