About Me
I'm originally from Wisconsin and tried the harp at about age 9 after hearing my Grandmother play. My musical interest shifted to the drums and I went on to gig the regional club scene at about 13, (Things weren't so politically correct back then) until the band split up when I was at the ripe old age of about 15. After years of hit and miss bands it was off to the Marine Corps where I picked up the harp again. Once out of the service, I bought a Harley in Houma, Louisiana and traveled the back roads of La. Miss. and Tenn. on my way back home, periodically jamming with guys I'd meet at clubs along the way. That's when the Blues started to take hold. Years later I moved to Indiana where I started some serious wood shedding and harp lessons with Indy's Allen Stratyner. Now I'm kickin' the Blues with a feeling.
I enjoy all forms of music, if they're played well. Aside from the Blues scene and harp I have a wife that likes the Blues, two kids, five grandchildren, and a cat that doesn't like my harp playing.
