About Me
In 1964 I heard Sonny Terry on the radio... Soon after that I bought an LP called "Folk Festival at Newport 1959" that had 2 songs by Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee. One of the songs was in the key of F. My dad had a Marine Band harmonica in the key of Bb, so when I tried playing along with the LP I was at least in the right Key (second position).
I later took three lessons with Big Walter Horton.
I later toured the world playing harmonica with Dave Brubeck and his sons.
It's been 45 years since I first picked up the harmonica and I'm still playing harp and touring the world.
